Payment Terms
• The cost of your Dream Charter may be paid by bank transfer or by credit card (plus a fee of 4%). The details will be communicated to you upon confirming your reservation.
• A deposit of 20% is requested to confirm your reservation.
• The balance can be paid in one or more instalments.
• 50% of the total cost of your Dream Charter must be paid, at least 60 days in advance.
• For bookings made between 30 and 60 days before your Dream Charter, 50% of the total cost is payable on booking.
• The total cost of your Dream Charter must be paid at least thirty (30) days before boarding.
• For bookings made less than 30 days before your Dream Charter, 100% of the total cost is payable on booking.
• Should the balance not be paid by the applicable due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and forfeit the amount paid.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
• The initial deposit (20%) may be reimbursed up to fourteen (14) calendar days following the day it was paid, no questions asked. The initial deposit is non-refundable thereafter.
• For cancellations between 30 and 60 calendar days before your Dream Charter: The amount paid in addition to the initial deposit (30%) will not be refunded but may be credited towards the booking of another Dream Charter, based on availability of La Perle Rare, during the next twelve (12) months.
• For cancellations less than 30 days before your Dream Charter: No refund or credit will be given.
• Regarding cancellations, the person(s) who made the booking must advise us in writing by electronic correspondence with acknowledgment request. A cancellation will be effective from the date it is received. It is your responsibility to verify with your insurer if the cancellation falls within the terms of the insurance policy, and if so, to submit a claim.
• The above Terms and Conditions will be expressly mentioned on your contract.
• Please do not hesitate to contact us for any additional questions. Client satisfaction is very important for us. Our aim is to ensure full transparency in this regard. We will always be guided by fairness and good customer relations, taking into account our Terms and Conditions.
Customer Booking Alterations
• If you wish to modify your Dream Charter, other than for the itinerary or the menu(s), the Captain will do his utmost to accommodate your request. Any additional costs involved however, will be payable before embarkation.
• A major alteration (such as the date or the destination) will be treated as a cancellation and re-booking. It is thus your responsibility to check the details on the confirmation email and charter contract you will receive and to inform us of any discrepancies within 14 days.
Our Cancellation Policy
• La Perle Rare and the Captain will do their utmost to ensure that your Dream Charter takes place exactly as it was booked. It may be possible however, that changes have to be made. If we cannot offer an acceptable alternative, we may have to cancel your booking before the start date, in which case you will receive a full and prompt refund of all amounts paid to La Perle Rare (limited to the Dream Charter fees paid).
• We reserve the right to terminate the Dream Charter of any guest who refuses to comply with the instructions of the Captain and whose behavior is likely to cause damage or danger to any person or property
• Of course, you have the right to inspect the yacht and all equipment thoroughly at the start of your Dream Charter to ascertain that it is in good working order.
Insurance
• La Perle Rare is insured for damages caused to the vessel, either by the guests or even other vessels, including fire, theft, and vandalism.
• La Perle Rare is also insured for damages caused by the vessel to other vessels or property.
• The cost of the insurance for damages caused to La Perle Rare or damages caused by La Perle Rare, is included in the cost of your Dream Charter (without any deductible).
• As for personal insurance for luggage or injuries sustained during your Dream Charter, each guest is responsible to secure his or her own travel insurance. In this regard, guests will be asked to sign a liability waiver for the benefit of La Perle Rare and the Crew.
Group Bookings
• Bookings for a Dream Charter can be made by one or more guests, but must be made on behalf of, and based on, the group of guests expected to attend. We recommend having one or two representatives of your group dealing with the Captain regarding payments, the itinerary, menus or other issues.
• If one guest in your group wishes to cancel, his request will not be treated individually, and the Cancellation / Refund Policy below will apply. You may substitute another guest in their place. Members of your group should claim under their own personal travel insurance if their cancellation falls within the terms of the insurance policy.
Travel Insurance
• We encourage you to take out your own personal travel insurance to protect yourself from any cancellations or loss of personal items. All flight bookings are subject to the conditions of carriage of the air carrier you have used.
• Flight timings, airlines or aircraft can change after your flight has been booked. Flight times, including those shown on any letter, invoice or ticket, cannot be guaranteed. We are not liable for any delay which may occur. Any arrangements or compensation in the event of a delay will be in the sole discretion of the airline or your travel insurance. If you are denied boarding on the outbound/return flight by the aircraft captain, our responsibility for you ceases and we will not be liable to make alternative arrangements or refund any money.
SERVICE AND GRATUITY POLICY
The catamaran sailing charter industry, with crew, meals and service recommends the payment of a gratuity in the order of 15 to 20 % of the cost of the charter.
We, at La Perle Rare, believe that the payment of any gratuity depends entirely on your degree of satisfaction regarding every aspect of your Dream Charter, including the yacht, La Perle Rare, the crew, the service, the quality of meals, the condition and availability of the equipment, the smooth running of your charter, etc.
We will gladly accept any gratuity, but we do wish to set either a minimum or a maximum.
At no time will the topic of gratuity be mentioned or discussed with you, before, after, or during your Dream Charter.
