Stéphane - The Captain

Stéphane is French Canadian or Québécois. He is of course, fluent in English and French.

He is RYA Yacht Master qualified. He has sailed in Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, as well as for many years, in the Caribbeans, accumulating more than 25,000 nautical miles in the process. As a teenager, Stéphane initially sailed dinghies (laser, 420 series, etc.) before moving on to monohulls of various sizes, until he discovered the world of Cats, about ten years ago.

Stéphane owns La Perle Rare – She is his third sailing yacht.

He loves to share his passion for sailing and the sea… Yet, security of the guests and the sailboat is always on his mind!

Stéphane is always smiling. He is a very pleasant and easy-going Captain who loves sailing; he enjoys music, good meals and fine wines; and even more so, good company!

Sailing La Perle Rare and sharing with you his passion for sailing and the sea on board La Perle Rare, is for Stéphane a dream come true. Merci la vie!

Michael – chef, host & co-skipper

Born in Grenada, Michael is a young, bright, energetic, and most enjoyable chap in addition to being passionate about fine cuisine and sailing. He knows Grenada and the surrounding islands inside out. He is a native English speaker, but his French is improving very rapidly!

Michael is an accomplished Chef. In Grenada, Michael worked in various hotels and restaurants, where he mastered the art of Caribbean cooking.

Notably, Michael is also RYA Yacht Master qualified. He takes sailing seriously and never hesitates to share his detailed knowledge.


Michael likes to stay fit and will be please to organize morning fitness or stretching sessions

Above all, Michael loves being at sea, sailing, cooking, and meeting new friends!

Isabelle – chef, host & deckhand

Québécoise, French-Canadian, Isabelle is also an accomplished sailor who discovered sailing first on monohulls and then on catamarans, when she met Stéphane some ten years ago. She speaks French and is also fluent in English.

Isabelle loves to swim and her passion for snorkeling has no equal. She knows almost every exotic fish in the Caribbeans and will accompany you to the best locations to admire the sea fauna.

Isabelle is also an outstanding Chef. She will impress you with some wonderful recipes and will not hesitate to share her secrets with you!

Isabelle knows La Perle Rare inside out. She prepares the best cocktails in town, she enjoys music and loves singing even more so. Ready for your next super funny Karaoke night? Isabelle will assist and guide you for a most pleasant evening!

Milou … la perle rare’s mascot !!!

MILOU is Isabelle and Stéphane’s adorable dog. Milou is a powder-puff chien chinois who loves sailing. In fact, Milou has sailed in many Caribbeans Islands.
You want to know where the wind is coming from? Look at Milou, who always keeps his nose straight in the wind!

Milou will not be onboard during your Dream Charter (other than on request) but his spirit is permanently on La Perle Rare… and we like to show him off!!!
