La Perle Rare is a ‘green’ sailing vessel fitted with six large solar panels (2200w) and lithium batteries (1200 amps) from which all equipment is run.
La Perle Rare is also equipped with the required holding tanks to ensure the proper management of black waters and garbage.
For La Perle Rare, the sea is a wealth that we must protect and preserve.
Spacious & Comfortable
La Perle Rare is a very comfortable, yet rapid catamaran for her size (20 tons) and she is fully equipped to offer the best sailing experience and ultimate vacation.
A very large cockpit with sitting area and dining table, a spacious saloon (carré), separate protected helm station, flying bridge with sitting for six and two sunbathing mattresses, and a fore deck with triple sunbathing mattresses, and of course, the trampoline on the bow, make La Perle Rare the perfect sailboat for a superb sailing vacation
Sleep Peacefully on Board
Three double ensuite cabins, with queen size beds and private WC (electric) and shower, are available for the guests.
Air-conditioning is available in each cabin to ensure the best possible sleep after a great day sailing and exploring.
Bed linens, towels and toiletries are provided on board for the guests.
Fast & Fun Sailing
Under sail, her main sail (bearing three reefs) and genoa (on a furler) allow La Perle Rare to reach speeds over 10 knots (beam to broad reach / 20 knots winds). The helm station provides one electric winch and two manual winches. An additional electric winch is available in the rear to trim the Geneker and secure La Petite Perle (dinghy with outboard engine).
In light winds, 5 – 10 knots, La Perle Rare deploys her beautiful tri-color Geneker, allowing her to sail comfortably at speeds of 4 to 7 knots.
Under power, La Perle Rare is propelled by two Volvo D2 60 engines allowing her to cruise comfortably at 6 to 8 Knots.
To reach coral reefs, the beach or the closest dock when anchored, La Perle Rare is equipped with a 14-foot tender (dinghy with an outboard motor), easy to store for sailing using a fourth electric winch.

• Tricolor Geneker (La Perle Rare is one of very few charter catamarans equipped with a Geneker. The Wind in the Caribbeans is comfortable and steady most of the time ( 15-20 knots), which allows to plan the best possible itinerary for the guests and explore the best areas. At times however, the wind can be light (0-10 knots), which affects the speed of sailing vessels. This is when La Perle Rare deploys its beautiful GENEKER, allowing it to reach nice cruising speed while enjoying the beauty of the sails.
